The accident happened on the eastbound approach to Charlie Brown’s Roundabout in South Woodford shortly after 6.30am.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said an ambulance and single responder were sent to the scene and took a man to Whipps Cross Hospital

Two lanes of the north circular were closed between Woodford New Road and the M11 while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The road has now reopened and traffic is clearing.
