Labour take Goodmayes but fail to win a seat in Church End

Labour retained Goodmayes with Bert Jones (2,347 votes), Kam Rai (2,272 votes) and Barbara White (2,201) all being elected into council.

While Liberal Democrat candidate Hugh Richard Cleaver retained his seat in Church End ward despite losing Lib Dem councillor Richard Hoskins who was not in the running for this local election.

Mr Richard Cleaver took home 1,361 votes, beating Tory Emma Best, (1,273 votes) and Tom McLaren (1,168 votes), a Conservative candidate.
