Knife crime to be the focus of latest Operation Bigwing

PUBLISHED: 14:54 09 June 2014

Knife crime is to be the focus of a day of targeted action.

Redbridge police will hold their next Operation Bigwing on June 25, which will see the use of knife arches.

Officers will also be targeting domestic violence offenders and second-hand markets.

Det Supt Ellie O’Connor said knife crime had been chosen as the main focus because it had “crept back” with recent stabbings across London.
