It was smiles all round as a dental practice made it their mission to educate more people about oral health, as part of national smile month.

Staff from Whitestar Dental Care, in Exchange Ilford shopping mall, held children’s activities, competitions, a raffle and toothbrush demonstrations in the centre.

Dr Dhindsa from Whitestar Dental Care said: “I am thrilled to be taking part in National Smile Month this year and am delighted with the response we have had from the public. It’s been a great success with hundreds of people coming along to join in the fun.”

The dental practice highlighted how vital it is to cut down on sugary foods and drinks, to brush for two minutes twice a day, and to visit the dentist regularly.

Whitestar dental care will continue to support national smile month, by holding events at the Ilford exchange shopping mall, as we as hand out offers on tooth whitening and hygiene services throughout the month.

The chief executive of the British dental foundation, Dr Nigel Carter, said: “I’m delighted that Whitestar dental care has joined the thousands of organisations in engaging with national smile month. It is a great reflection of local community spirit and an excellent way to promote good oral health.”
