Man shot in Ilford

A man in his 20s has been shot in Ilford.

Police were called yesterday (Wednesday, September 12) at approximately 9.25pm to reports of gun shots in Endsleigh Gardens.

Officers attended along with medical professionals from the London Ambulance Service.

A Met Police spokesman said: “The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was found with gunshot wounds.

“He has been taken to hospital - his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

“At this stage, there has been no arrests and inquiries continue.”

Officers from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command have launched an investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and quote reference CAD 8086/12.
