Antonio ‘pop-eye’ Francis, whose unusual talent of making his eyes come out of his face made him an internet sensation, helped raise money for the Sue Ryder charity shop.

Denise Stockings, manager of the shop in Manford Way, Hainault, said: “It was very nice of him to come down and do his little bit for us. It was very good, lots of people were a bit taken back but people knew who he was.”

The shop is aiming to raise £300 by the end of the month and will be holding raffles and tombolas to add to the £70 raised on Thursday.
