Police will be carrying out daily operations targeting drug dealers over the next few weeks.

Borough commander Det Ch Supt Sue Williams said: “Drug dealing damages communities. It generates crime, disorder and anti-social behavior. We urge the public to come forward with information.”

The crackdown is part of Operation Hawk. Police want information about people who may be dealing drugs, where they are being sold and where they are either being stored or grown.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
