The Got2Dance competition saw nine diverse acts compete to win over the judging panel, which included TV DIY star and children’s hospice patron Tommy Walsh. Lauren Cooke. and leader of SmoothMoves Academy of Performing Arts was another member of the panel.

The dancers were all in years 7, 8 and 9 at three local schools; St Bonaventure’s School, Eastlea Community School and Wanstead School.

The electric atmosphere reflected the dedication and hard work of those who took part.

The winning team was Infin8 from St Bonaventure’s School with their choreographed street dance. They received a voucher and certificate for a Go-Dance experience, offered free by go-experience.com, who sponsored the event.

Laki Kaur, part of the Richard House Young Adults Group and a judge of the Got2Dance competition, said: “Infin8 were great. They had good moves, brilliant timing and the whole routine had an intense energy”.

Hannah Bosley, Richard House community fundraiser and organiser of Got2Dance, said: “The qualities of the acts were of such a high standard that the judges awarded high scores across the board. It was very close and all of the young dancers gave remarkable performances.

“Infin8 really stood out to me because of their obvious connection as a team. Team work and caring for one another is incredibly important here at Richard House.”

As well as raising awareness of the work of Richard House Children’s Hospice, the evening is also set to raise almost £2,000 to help fund the crucial support that the hospice provides for children and their families.
