A Hainault teenager will compete in the semi-finals of a reality TV dance contest after making it through auditions as part of the “One Direction of dance”.

Mike McNeish, 18, appeared in the first episode of primetime dance show Got to Dance series five on Saturday night.

And the acrobatic routines of the fivesome were well-received by the Sky One show’s judges, being awarded three stars with Ashley Banjo choosing the group as one of his six acts to take through to the live shows later this month.
