Stylists at Uppercut, in Cranbrook Road, have worn pink every Saturday this month and served customers pink cakes and rose wine.

Manager Lauren Paton said: “I’m so pleased to see my team come together for such a fantastic cause.

“We have all decided to donate the tips we earn during October to the breast cancer charity.”

All money raised will go to Breast Cancer Campaign and the salon is also selling special styling products to benefit cancer charities.

Staff are competing with salons in Havering and Brentwood to raise the most money.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Wear it Pink campaign is encouraging people wear the colour to show their support on Friday.
