Following on from its successful Commonwealth-themed carnival in June, Highlands Primary School, in Highlands Gardens, Ilford, hosted an exhibition of its pupils’ work.

The event opened with a performance by musicians, before youngsters and their families had the opportunity to look around the displays.

Countries and regions represented by the artwork included Canada, New Zealand, Africa and the Caribbean.

The exhibition was also held to celebrate the school receiving the Artsmark Gold award for the third time.
