Youngsters treated their parents and teachers to an afternoon of entertainment as they demonstrated their talents at an end-of-year event.

Students from Clore Tikva Primary School wowed an audience of more than 250 people with their variety show at King Solomon High School, in Forest Road, Barkingside.

Highlights included singing, Israeli dancing and entertainment from the school’s African drumming group.

As well as being in the spotlight themselves, the children enjoyed watching performances by former X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon, who sang You Got the Love and What a Wonderful World, and dancer Kieran Lai, who was a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent 2014.

Stacey also joined the pupils for the finale.

Roz Page, from Clore Tikva, said: “The children wowed the audience with their drumming, singing and dancing, as well as a moving tribute to Sue Hesse, the deputy head who is sadly retiring after 15 years.

“All in all the day was a huge success.”

The money raised will go towards purchasing computer equipment for the school.
