Interns at Barnardo’s invited under five year olds to wear their favourite regal outfit and come for a walk at the prince and princess themed ‘Big Toddle’ today.

The short sponsored walk took place at Barnardo’s Village Green, Barkingside, at 10am.

Charlotte Cooper, Barnardo’s Big Toddle manager, said before the day: “I’m really proud of our interns as they have put in a lot of effort to organise the Barkingside Big Toddle, and I know it’s going to be a fun day.

“The event is open to parents, carers and early year’s groups and they’ll be face painting, balloon animals with all children receiving a medal for their walks around the green.

“If you can’t make this organised event, it is so simple to arrange your own Toddle and it’s a great way to bring friends and family together too for a worthwhile cause”.

All of the money raised from the day will go towards the Barnardo’s projects helping children under five across the UK.

For information on how to arrange a Big Toddle event, visit www.bigtoddle.co.uk or call 0845 270 9900.
