Firefighters tackle car blaze in Richmond Road, Ilford

A car was found alight in a residential road in Ilford this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in Richmond Road shortly before 1.30pm and took about 20 minutes to douse the flames.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated and arson has not yet been ruled out.
