Today’s snow has caused problems for some, with slippery, slushy pavements and Christmas concert due to be played by Fairlop Brass tonight has been cancelled.

The concert was due to be played at Old Parkonians Pavilion, Oakfield Playing Fields, Forest Road, Barkingside, and had been organised by the campaign group Save Oakfields Society, but it has been called off because of the persistent snow and “challenging weather forecast”.
