Already on view at the Museum of London Roman gallery, films were created by students at Education Links, an independent school run by Canning Town charity Community Links for those who have struggled to stay in mainstream schools.

The videos were premiered at an awards ceremony at the charity’s Barking Road headquarters to mark the students’ achievements.

Year 11 leavers were presented with their Record of Achievement portfolios while Alison Braybrooks, from sponsors UBS, gave out the Attendance and Punctuality Awards while Linda Gauron, from remaining sponsor Valero, handed out the Science League Award and Prize.

Linda, public affairs coordinator, said: “We are pleased to be a part of such an enriching programme and congratulate the students for their commitment and hard work.”

Education Links gas supported excluded students for over 16 years, working with over 100 young people each year in six sites around Newham.
