Pupils at Wanstead High School have improved on last year with their A-level results today.

There were several star students including Eleanor Estop who achieved A*, A*, A and Jonathan Jones, Amelia Weston and Yusuf Khan who all received A*, A, A.

Head teacher, Chris van Bussel, said: “It has been a very good day - lots of happy fulfilled students have been able to go on the course of their choice.

“Staff and students are very pleased that all their hard work has paid off.”

More than half of the pupils at Wanstead received grades A* to C (66%) with 20% of students reaching the top A* result, which is 3% more than last year.
