A South Woodford woman believes her dog was stolen from a South Woodford park last month.

Maria Evangeli, of Old Mill Court, is offering a reward for the safe return of border collie cross Banjo, who disappeared on January 14.

Maria, 54, said they were on a walk in Roding Valley Park, in Chigwell Road, when the dog disappeared.

She added: “We were walking back home through the park and we were almost there.

“I caught sight of her with her yellow coat on and then she completely vanished.

“I was hanging about calling for her but I’ve had her for nine years and she wouldn’t disappear.

“I really want her back, I can’t bear it.”

Banjo is black with white patches and was wearing a green and yellow coat with a black and yellow harness.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 07930 990875.

Redbridge Police have been informed.
