Wanstead flat burgled when window left open for less than an hour

A man’s laptop and mobile phone were stolen in a Wanstead burglary on Thursday after he left a window open.

The man had been working at his desk on the ground floor of Clock Court, Victory Road, when he left the room.

He returned to find his Dell laptop and LG mobile phone missing. The burglary took place between 10am and 10.51am.

Redbridge police advise residents to remember to close and lock all windows and doors, property mark valuables and keep them out of sight.

Ilford CID are appealing for anyone with information to contact DS Dave Bonnyhood on 0208 345 2700.
