Police want to speak to injured victim of Goodmayes station attack

A man who was injured after being punched and kicked during an attack at Goodmayes train station has yet to come forward to police.

The victim, who is black and in his mid-20s, was attacked by three men between 12.15am and 12.30am on June 12.

The incident happened on the station’s platform four before the victim boarded a train.

Pc Gary Pinner, investigating for British Transport Police (BTP), said: “We’re clearly keen to speak to the man to get his account of what took place but he has yet to come forward.

“I’d encourage anyone who knows the victim, or who saw an injured man fitting his description following the incident, to come forward.”

The victim was about 5ft 6ins tall with a medium build.

He is believed to have short black hair and was seen wearing a black jacket and trousers.

Two men, a 25-year-old and a 26-year-old, from Romford and a 24-year-old man from the Isle of Wight were arrested following the attack.

They were arrested before being released on police bail, pending further enquiries, until July 12.
