Dead cannabis plants were found in a flat by an estate agent who forced entry after months of failed attempts to contact the tenant.

A large quantity was discovered by the man when he called to complete a management inspection on the Hermitage Court flat, in Woodford Road, Snaresbrook, on March 4.

However, the tenant was nowhere to be seen.

Redbridge police officers, who were called at 2pm by the estate agent, are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

They should do so by phoning 101.
