Police are investigating a stabbing which occured on Ilford Lane by the junction of Wingate Road


A man has been arrested and charged following a stabbing in Ilford last week.

The incident happened in Ilford Lane near Mount Pleasant at around 11pm last Thursday (March 1).

Sahil Umar, 20, of Baden Road, Ilford, has been arrested and was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon on Sunday, March 4.

Police said the 28-year-old male who was stabbed is expected to make a full recovery, and will not require surgery.

No weapon was found at the scene.
