Goodmayes dad serving three years in prison for delivering drugs in van has appeal refused

Jetish Pindoria, of Ashburton Avenue, was jailed for three years in April at Snaresbrook Crown Court after he admitted supplying heroin and cocaine.

He was picked up by police in Mansfield Road, Ilford, in February this year after officers received a tip-off about “drugs deals taking place from a van”.

When the vehicle was searched, officers found 11 wraps of heroin and nine of cocaine, said Mr Justice Stadlen, who was sitting with Lady Justice Hallett and Mr Justice Teare at London’s Criminal Appeal Court.

Pindoria said he was a “long-standing drug user” and admitted he was “delivering drugs” in order to pay off a debt.

The 34-year-old, who has a wife and a three-year-old child, told police he was simply going from street to street to make his deliveries.

“His dealer would direct him to the next location to meet a buyer,” said the judge.

Pindoria’s case reached the Appeal Court as he challenged the length of his sentence

“Maybe this sentence was at the high end,” said Mr Justice Stadlen. He concluded: “We are not satisfied that it was manifestly excessive.”
