Susan Fraser, 54, of Harewood Drive, was accused of trying to take revenge on a woman who gave evidence against Anthony Fraser, 33, and Robert Lawrence, 22, for the killing of 24-year-old Kowshar Hussain.

But today she was cleared of three counts of intimidation and one count of threatening to take revenge by a jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court following a 10-day trial.

Her sons were part of a gang that attacked Mr Hussain as he retrieved a baby seat from a car in Whitechapel, east London, on April 2 last year.

Anthony Fraser and Lawrence, together with Jonathan Joseph-Bell and Liam Whitnell, were jailed for life last November after a trial at the Old Bailey.

The witness, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, said she was “terrified” when Fraser hurled abuse at her and allegedly threatened to kill her.

Deborah Love, 53, was accused of helping Fraser by threatening to set her Staffordshire Bull terrier on the woman.

She was said to have joined in when she warned the witness that “Susan Fraser is coming for you”.

But Fraser told the court she was being terrorised by the witness and said she had been abused as a result of her sons’ actions.

Love maintained she never mentioned Susan Fraser to the witness.

The witness was granted anonymity, being referred to simply as “Witness A”, when she appeared during the trial last October.

Fraser denied all counts.

Love, of Stepney, east London, denied four counts of threatening to take revenge and was cleared on all counts.
