A supermarket in Chadwell Heath has helped victims of crime through sales of its “bags for life”.
Sainsbury’s in High Road made a £200 donation to Barking and Dagenham Victim Support.
A staff member suggested the group after she received their help following a break-in at her home.
Store manager Gareth Powell said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community.”
Children were “stunned” after listening to a talk by a woman whose son was stabbed to death.
