Around 800 people remembered the life of a three-year-old cancer victim in South Woodford on Saturday and raised £5,000 for her parents’ charity.

Lovia Ofori-Agyemang and Francis Appiah-Boakye set up a trust to honour their daughter Liesel Angel Appiah-Boakye.

Liesel Angel died of neuroblastoma stage IV childhood cancer in 2012 and a gospel concert was held at the PowerLand International church in Raven Road in her name.

Ms Ofori-Agyemang hoped that once all the charity pledges come in, the trust could be close to its £10,000 target.

They want to buy a car to transport families with children with life-limiting conditions to hospital.

Ms Ofori-Agyemang said: “It was glorious and it was a wonderful turnout.”

The concert included performances by two church choirs and guests included two oncologists who cared for Liesel Angel.
