Bus and car collision at Redbridge roundabout

Part of the A406 North Circular road remains closed after a collision left a 22-year-old man in hospital with head injuries this morning.

Police were called to the collision between a single decker Arriva bus and the Toyota car at 8.10am near the Redbridge Roundabout, on the A12.

The car, whose driver was taken to Whipps Cross hospital as a priority with back injuries, went “off the side of the road” and into an adjacent green area.

The slip road from the A406 towards the M11 remains closed while the Toyota is recovered.
