As we approach the end of April a familiar sight returns to the borough as Wanstead Park’s Chalet Wood once again becomes awash with flowering bluebells.
Every spring the flowers bloom in numbers in the woods and are one of the park’s biggest attractions.
On Sunday people can get a closer look at the beautiful display of bulbous flowers during a “drawing the bluebells” event organised by the charity City of London Epping Forest.
The event runs from 12.30pm to 4pm with people asked to bring their own drawing kit or to purchase some from the Temple.
