A car has overturned on Barley Lane in Goodmayes, blocking the road in both directions.

A spokesman for the Met Police said officers were called to the scene after the crash just before 6.30pm tonight (Tuesday June 17).

He said one man, who had been in the car, was being treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service but was not thought to be seriously injured.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said two fire engines had also been called to the incident.
