An award-winning premium steakhouse brand is to open a new restaurant in the borough.

Miller and Carter Steakhouse will arrive in High Road, Woodford Green mid-November and replaces The Castle Harvester.

The brand has successful restaurants in Epping and Chigwell and are looking to recruit a team of 40 including chefs, bar and serving staff.

General manager of the new restaurant, Tim Sumption said: “Bringing Miller and Carter to Woodford Green is a fantastic opportunity for the brand and we look forward to providing the best steaks and service that Miller and Carter is renowned for across the UK.

The brand serve only premium-graded beef, sourced from cattle reared on sustainable British and Irish farms before being matured for at least 30 days.

A choice of 12 cuts, including a 30oz longbone tomahawk and the brand’s famous sirloin are then hand-prepared by a master butcher and expertly grilled.

The company won England’s Best Sirloin Steak 2015 award in the food service category at the Quality Standard Mark Excellence awards hosted by EBLEX.
