Traffic is mounting following a crash on the A12 Eastern Avenue westbound near Goodmayes which resulted in a person being taken to hospital.

Paramedics were called to Barley Lane at the junction of Hainault Road to reports of a crash at 8.37am today, October 31.

Transport for London’s (TfL) Traffic News account tweeted that one of two westbound lanes on the A12 Eastern Avenue is blocked due to a collision by Barley Lane at around 9.10am.

It added that access to Barley Lane southbound has also been partially blocked and that traffic is slow on approach.

A London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesman said: “We were called at 8.37am today (31 October) to Barley Lane at the junction of Hainault Road, to reports of a road traffic collision.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a motorcycle responder to the scene.

“We treated a person at the scene and took them to hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further details.
