A cyclist is in hospital with "life-threatening injuries" after a crash this morning.
Emergency services attended Goodmayes Road, near the station, at 5.30am today (February 27).
There were reports of a crash involving a van and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to an east London hospital with a head injury.
According to the Met, his injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the van failed to stop at the scene and there have been no arrests at this time, police said.
Closures were put in place between A118 High Road / Barley Lane and Goodmayes Station but these were lifted at 2.20pm.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened and witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 809/27Feb.
