Award-winning singer-songwriter Louise Jordan to play in Chadwell Heath

PUBLISHED: 09:00 16 April 2013

»A former teacher turned singer-songwriter will play in Chadwell Heath as part of her UK tour of critically acclaimed album, Florilegium.

Since releasing her award-winning debut album, TEMPVS, in October 2011, Louise Jordan has completed three nationwide tours, winning support with a stream of great reviews and national radio play.

Credited as writer, engineer and producer, Louise also sings, plays guitar, piano and cello on her second studio album – named after the Latin for “anthology”.

Her folky songs describe a range of human emotions and experiences and have wowed critics, with The Telegraph naming the album one of its “five summer treats” and the Sunday Express giving it four stars.

Louise will play the Havering Folk Club, at The Stables Suite, The White Horse, High Road, Chadwell Heath, on April 24.

She said: “I am really excited to return to Havering Folk Club, where I first began performing my own material whilst I worked full-time as a teacher in Gaynes School, Upminster. The team at Havering Folk Club really supported my development as an artist, giving me confidence as a songwriter and performer.”

The concert starts at 3pm and entry costs £3. For more information go to www.haverfolk.com or call 01708 724 544 or 07860 452 623. Copies of Florilegium are available for digital download now, on Amazon and iTunes. CDs can be purchased at performances or by emailing music@louisejordan.co.uk.
