Harrow 7 Woodford A 31
WOODFORD under-15s A enjoyed an excellent victory over Harrow at the weekend.
The visitors started strongly, with several forward drives early in the game, sucking in the Harrow defence and leading to Piras scoring on the left wing.
Woodford capitalised on their forward power, with Nathan Lee and Ian Bukenya to the fore, which soon led to another try for Piras.
Nathan Lee went over for a third try close to the half-time whistle.
The second half saw Woodford run in a further two more tries as Piras bagged his hat-trick, while Liam Sanderson also scored.
Thurrock A 10 Woodford B 45
WOODFORD under-15s B ran in seven tries, including a hat-trick for Goddard as they turned in an impressive display at Thurrock A.
Forwards Davis, Ross, Vermaak, Hankins, Barrett, Shore, Vuckovic and Drakes all excellent for the visitors early on.
Backs Crawford, Goddard and Jones had far too much pace and it eventually told as Woodford ran in seven tries including Goddard's treble.
Foot and Barker contributed their usual solid defensive displays to make sure Thurrock never seriously threatened and substitute Harman capped a fine day for the forwards by scoring late on.
