BUCKHURST HILL under-11s advanced to the quarter-finals of the Doris Barker Cup with a win over Romford Royals A.

Chris Coveney broke the deadlock with an unstoppable, curling left-foot shot into the top corner of the net. Harry Mudd stretched the away side's lead after the interval.

Chigwell A 4 Thurrock 1

JAMES SLATER scored a hat-trick as Chigwell A under-12s saw off Thurrock in the Echo Premier Division Cup

Chigwell dominated this cup tie from start to finish and Tommy Hammerton set the boys on the way before Slater bagged his treble.

Millwall Albion 1 Redbridge United 3

REDBRIDGE marched on in the under-nines Challenge Cup with a comprehensive display.

Goals from Kayembe Bregman and Livermore-Rose settled the issue, with the hosts replying in the last minute. Albion had to thank their goalkeeper for making six or seven great saves to keep the score down.

Barn Sports 3 Bardag 3

BARDAG under-13s fought out a thrilling draw in terrible conditions on Sunday.

The home side went two goals up in the first 20 minutes, but Patrick Okoji pulled one back before half time.

Barn Sports extended their lead after the break, but the visitors rallied in the last 10 minutes through Okoji and an equaliser from Roger Acevedo. Ben Johnson was man of the match.

CHIGWELL GIRLS overcame the elements to defeat Snaresbrook in a hard-fought battle.

Olivia Carey struck before the break to give the away side the advantage. Emma Bayley excelled between the sticks to protect the visitor's lead.
