HOLLYWOOD star Sean Maguire won £10,000 for King George Hospital on television show Family Fortunes last night.

The former EastEnders actor, who was born and brought up in Seven Kings, and is now based in Los Angeles, decided to offer the cash to the children's ward.

Team Maguire beat the family of actress Laila Rouss and then scored the 200 points in the final round to scoop the cash.

Mum Kathleen, of Seven Kings, was part of the winning team.

She said: "It was Sean's idea to raise money for King George Hospital as a way of thanking the nursing staff for their great work delivering his niece recently.

"Being on Family Fortunes was a great experience, but completely nerve-wracking.

"We are delighted to have won and cannot wait to give the hospital the money."

Mrs Maguire admitted Sean was "very embarrassed" after drawing laughs from the audience by guessing "marsupial" when asked to name an animal beginning with the letter M.
